When Carlos was born, no one knew he had Cerebral Palsy, otherwise he would have been put in an institution. Fortunately, he was placed in the care of the Children's Home. When we first met Carlos, he sat in one place on the floor and crawled around to move. But you could see in his eyes he was determined to walk. Within 6 months, he was able to stand by himself unsupported and a few months after that, began taking his first steps. Now, he can walk longer distances and in the process has because of this mobility has become more independent, one of our priorities for him.

Carlos truly is amazing! He watches EVERYTHING the children do and tries it himself! Most of the time he exceeds at learning new tasks after just a few tries. He is a living example of how we can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens us (Phillipians 4:13)
