The vision we have for Hope For Tomorrow Children’s Home extends far beyond just the children at our home and includes the staff and their families as well. We strive to insure that our caretakers are loved and cared for and that their emotional, spiritual, and personal needs are met, knowing that this in turn will allow them to have an even greater impact in the lives of our children. One of the ways we do this is to celebrate birthdays, something that I have come to realize is such an important part of our lives (whether we want to admit it or not). It’s a chance for us to say, “Praise the Lord, for creating such a wonderful person like you, and we want to celebrate your life, your gifts, and the fact that you are an important part of our family.”
Well, two weeks ago, we had the opportunity to do this with Ruth, one of the most important staff members we have. Night and day she diligently serves the children and staff and does an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly. Her knowledge of the legal system has been vital to us these first few months and I really don’t know what we would do without her. So it was an honor to be able to celebrate her birthday and express to her just how important she is to us. Please lift up a prayer for Ruth and all the hard work she does on a daily basis.
